Corinne Planche was born in Geneva, Switzerland and she currently lives in the United States. Trained as a dancer, she blended her passions in her early work by exploring movement through photography. She worked during her MFA on a series of images that capture her familiar environment in an unsettling manner to reflect on uncertainty. She currently works on a new series that reflects on gender patterns transmitted from generation to generation using both digital and view cameras .She experiments on new techniques such as alternative photographic processes on clay and painting on photographs.
